About Neon Streets: 2084

Neon Streets: 2084 is a top-down cyberpunk bullet-hell where you survive escalating waves of enemies in a neon-soaked city. You start with a basic blaster and upgrade by grabbing weapon drops, cycling through five guns as the difficulty ramps.

Every tenth wave throws a boss at you, and the pressure keeps climbing from there. The whole thing runs on an HTML5 Canvas in vanilla JavaScript with no game engine underneath it. The audio is procedural, generated live through the Web Audio API rather than loaded from files, which is why it fits the mood so tightly. It is the odd one out in my arcade: everything else here is a Unity WebGL build, and this is pure browser code.

I built it as a test of Claude Sonnet 4.5, which produced a working version in two or three prompts with no debugging pass. The art direction, the neon palette, the particle effects, and the audio all came out of that. Keep moving, because standing still in a bullet-hell is how you die, and learn the boss patterns since they repeat once you have seen them a couple of times.
