About Campfire VR
Campfire VR is a calm, no-objective WebVR scene: you sit by a crackling campfire and just take it in. There is nothing to win or lose.
It is an ambient experience meant to show what relaxed, low-stakes VR can feel like, closer to a digital fireplace than a game. If everything else in this arcade is about shooting or scoring, this one is the opposite on purpose. The technically interesting part is that it runs as WebVR straight from the browser: no install, no store app, just load the page in a headset-capable browser and you are inside the scene.
On a regular desktop it gracefully falls back to a click-and-drag view so anyone can look around even without a headset. It is a Unity build exported for the web, which at the time was a genuinely finicky path to get working smoothly. Give it a minute; the point is to slow down rather than do anything. It is a small reminder that VR does not always have to be intense to be worth building.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How do I experience Campfire VR?
Click and drag to look around in your browser, or put on a VR headset for full immersion where the fire sits in front of you in real space. There is no objective; the point is simply to relax and take in the scene.
Do I need a VR headset to use Campfire VR?
No. Campfire VR runs as WebVR in the browser and falls back to a click-and-drag view on a regular desktop, so you can look around without a headset. A headset adds full immersion but is not required.
